Privacy Policy

1. The Core Guarantee: 100% Client-Side Static Generation

When you use the QRPoint Generator to create a static QR code (such as a Website link, plain text, WiFi credentials, vCard contact information, UPI payment link, or email draft), all encoding and rendering occurs entirely inside your local web browser via JavaScript and the HTML Canvas/SVG APIs.

The content you type into our input fields (including sensitive items such as your home WiFi password or personal mobile number) is never uploaded, transmitted, or logged on QRPoint servers.

2. Browser Local Storage (Your Device Only)

To make QRPoint convenient for repeat usage, we utilize standard browser localStorage to store:

  • Recent QR Codes: Thumbnails and payloads of codes you have generated so you can reload them later. You can clear this history anytime with one click in the "History" modal.
  • PWA Prompt Preference: A timestamp recording if you dismissed the "Add to Browser" banner, ensuring we don't nag you repeatedly.

This information resides solely on your computer or phone and is never synced to external databases.

3. Camera Access in QR Scanner

When you use the QRPoint Scanner with your webcam or phone camera:

  • Video frames are processed in real-time in browser memory using the jsQR computer vision library.
  • No video frames, camera feeds, or decoded results are recorded or streamed to any remote server.
  • Camera permissions are requested only while the scanner tab is actively visible.

4. Dynamic QR Codes (Cloud Infrastructure)

If and when you choose to create an optional Dynamic QR code (which allows post-print URL redirection and scan analytics), the short redirect link necessarily routes through our edge hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare).

In those explicit instances, our edge nodes record standard HTTP request telemetry: IP address (anonymized for geographic counting), User-Agent header (to distinguish mobile vs desktop), and timestamp. Static QR generation remains completely isolated from this infrastructure.

5. Cookies & Third-Party Trackers

QRPoint does not deploy advertising cookies, third-party behavioral trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels on utility pages.
